The nostalgia, of course, sweetens the music, but even without it, Care Package is Drake at his strongest: vulnerable, adorable, and most importantly, hungry.

Highsnobiety Highsnobiety

An entirely reasonable play to monetize singles that have outlived their purpose while reminding the world that Drake’s not going anywhere.

The fact that Drake was able to release Care Package as a standalone project is a testament to Drake’s stardom and position in hip-hop.

UPROXX UPROXX

As opportunistic as the release of Care Package is, the reminder of Drake’s work at the margins during his most prolific creative period is a timely one.

Now that fame has established a relationship with Drake that is going on several years, this album feels like a guide on how that relationship started growing.

Care Package reaffirms Drake’s inescapability, but it also signals that his career’s first remarkable expansion is over; a storm has given way, for now, to an ebb tide.

I’m glad he officially released these old tracks Pure fire. These loose tracks were probably some, if not his best music, and I’m glad I don’t have to go to torrent sites or go on YouTube to listen to them anymore. A lot of memories made with these songs since they came out when I was in middle and high school. Also, if these tracks were new, it’d probably be Drake’s best album imo. Only tracks that I feel should be added are Pistols, Sweeterman, and Freak In You.

. Just an album of a man who’s long gone.

Is he ever going to stop? Same generic album every year.

Not your old “best I ever had” bs or whatever that old whack songs name is. Ain’t no one tryna here your old 2009 bs. We want the new stuff! Frfr!
