Frequent serious references to mortality make Port of Miami 2 his heaviest recording.

Doing mostly what he’s always done.

Ross remains at the height of his craft, older, wiser, and eloquent as any man.

Port of Miami 2 shows that even the most beautiful of houses can feel empty inside.

Age has mellowed rap’s most audacious fabulist, and on the sequel to his breakout debut, he settles into his luxe sound like a pair of velvet slippers.

The 43-year-old emcee's latest effort is mostly a tepid recycling of the same thing he's been at for the last 13 years.

Anyone who’s enjoyed any Rick Ross album at any point in his career, can play Port of Miami 2 loudly on a summer day and catch up with a reliable, incredibly wealthy friend.

Celebrating what it is to be young, fly and flashy, ‘Port of Miami 2’ comes with some of the best production money can buy, even if it is a little slow out the gate.

Port of Miami 2, the sequel to his 2006 debut, is Ross on autopilot in each sense — as an artist and as a salesman — and, save for a very small handful of droning, rote stretches, that autopilot is a pleasant ride.

Beat slaps/lyrics are problematic This dude is mad consistent but raps about nothing. If he can figure that out, his albums would be a 5.

Apple please read Why do you let people rate and comment and the album isn’t even out yet? How does that make sense Apple? Who’s in charge over there? My goodness. They people trashing the album obviously have a man crush on Ross. Non-rappers with an opinion that they swear are facts. How about you let people who actually have, bought or heard the album comment. These hating lames are ruining everything. Thanks.
