Skillet’s newest studio album, Victorious is proof positive why the music of this band is a lighthouse beacon helping souls that have lost hope navigate the tumultuous, unforgiving sea known as life.

Though they have not re-invented the wheel as far as the sound-direction goes, they have done a great job in keeping the songs interesting.

While Victorious may not necessarily turn nonbelievers into disciples, it successfully carries the torch for Skillet’s motivational message with a few welcome developments.

SKILLET Hey Skillet, if y’all see this, I want you to know that you should ignore everyone who is leaving such negative reviews! Keep moving forward with your amazing work! ❤️ And to the people who are being rude in their reviews: if you have constructive criticism, go ahead and say your piece. But say it in a way that it’s actually constructive, not mean or rude. You don’t need to say rude things. You just don’t. Who does it help? I’ve read a lot of rude things that people have posted for the sole purpose of being rude. These people are working hard to create this music. Show some respect. You are entitled to your opinion, and if you want to leave a review, at least be mature about it. Like come on. Love you SKILLET. Keep your heads up and your hard work. #PanheadForever 🤟

What happened? I’ve been to 15 plus Skillet concerts, bought every record...yes every record. Every EP, every live, you name it, I have it. Skillet has gotten progressively more shallow since Comatose, the last of their good albums. Their songs are about nothing. Rise, Sick of it, Resistance, and now Legendary are all the same exact song with different lyrics. What happened to the depth in their music that we heard on Collide? This will be the first Skillet album I don’t purchase. I still love the band, love them as people, but their music has been lost and is unrecognizable from all the other generic rock you hear on the radio. Sure, it’s more hopeful, but no less shallow.

Alright Need to hear more but honestly I feel like they were at the top of their game when they released Collide.

Nope Stop. Making. Generic. Soulless. Stadium. “Rock”! This sounds like Nickelback and Imagine Dragons had an ugly love child together. 😖🤮

Continues to get worse The keep regurgitating these generic, soulless “pump up” songs. They have little to no meaning or relevancy. What are you rising up against? What are we fighting? It’s old.
